Hopeful

Thank you to all of you who have sent healing thoughts and prayers to Mike. Your support has been very much appreciated. It is easy to feel alone during times of worry and angst, but knowing that so many care is very helpful.

I spoke with Mike's nurse this morning and received a hopeful support. He has some signs of improvement, and that is helpful to know. When I left the hospital yesterday, there were some hopeful signs in his lab work, but he wasn't looking any better at all. Apparently he had a better night. I will know more when I see him in a little while.

As a diversion, I turned the birdcam onto the seed feeder yesterday, and got some great shots of the little finches that hang out there. Here are the best of the latest images for your amusement.

When I finish this, I'm going to take a shower and then head back to the hospital. I have physical therapy this afternoon, and then I will either go back to the hospital or come home. I haven't decided yet, and will play it by ear depending on how Mike is feeling, and how I am feeling. I got a little more sleep last night, although Smitty was restless and awakened me several times. Gracie seems lost since Mike is her favorite human. Still, it's nice to have some furry bodies to snuggle up to.

I'm still hoping to get the NewFO challenge written and posted by tomorrow, but I know you'll understand if I don't make it.

So glad to hear some positive news! Continuing to pray for you both. Of course, those kitties know that something is very wrong in their world, so they are worried. It must be so hard for them not being able to understand exactly what is wrong, just that it is! I will be praying for them too :*)

Those are great shots of the birds!
I think everyone understands that family comes before blogging. Anyone that doesn't would not deserve your concern.
Will continue positive thoughts for Mike and you, and for the kitties as they do not understand what is going on.

Glad to hear some encouraging news about Mike. I know how worrisome it is to have a life partner very ill. Sending thoughts and prayers to you both. Extra pets for Gracie & Smitty as well. Birdie pics are very cool.

Good news re Mike. Still keeping the fingers crossed.
What absolutely stunning photography of the birds. You must be dead pleased with that. They are all "foreign" to me as we don't get any of them here in Oz, so I love seeing them.

Steady improvement would be the best news of all and it sounds like that's what we're seeing. Great bird pics-so colorful. The kitties get it when the flow is disrupted and Mike being gone is certainly a change in their world. Hugs to both of you.

Hope that Mike is still improving and that both of you had a better night last night.

Great bird shots. I like the one with the "incoming" finch.

Cats are wonderful at snuggling up. And all of these birds look like they're looking right straight back into the camera. Hang in there, Barbara! Sending more healing vibes for Mike and I hope your PT went well today. Those guys can be real mean!

Still thinking of you. I understand how you feel. My mother was in the hospital last night (in TX) and I couldn't be there. Thank goodness, she went home today, and will be ok.
