End of the Line

Today I finished quilting and machine sewing the binding onto the Line Dancing quilt.  I'm glad to have it finished since I've been working on it nonstop for days.  It still needs to have the binding hand sewn and then the last of the embellishments added.  And then...it'll be ready to hang in my laundry room.  I'm excited to see it there!

So here's what I did this afternoon.  I added rolling hills to the grass.

I hope you can see that.  The threads are a pretty good match for the grass fabrics.

Then I added bricks to the pink building on the right.

And I added what I hope looks like board siding to the blue house on the left.

Then I made a sort of messy zigzag pattern on the roofs of both houses that I hoped would look like shingles.

And then I added what I hope looks like stippling to the panel at the top.

Then I added what I hope looks like a black and white striped binding to the outside edge.

And now I just need to hand stitch the binding down, add the last of the embellishments, pick off the cat fuzz, and it's finished!

All of that, and I even mopped the floor.  No need to applaud, but you can if you want to.

Heck - a standing ovation for the mopping! You really got into this one for wanting to put it aside at one point!! Hmmm - can't remember the last time I wore undies like those - shhhhh.
