Let's Party!!

This giveaway is now closed.

Welcome to the Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop Party and Giveaway.  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

If we're going to beat the winter blues, I think we need some bright colors, don't you?  Today I have something fabulous for you.  These pretties ought to bring a smile to your face:

It's a seven fat quarter bundle and panel of Swallow Tail Flutterby by Mary Engelbreit for Andover Fabrics.

And I'm going to make it super easy for you to win.  Here's what you need to do:

1.  Make sure I'm able to contact you.  In my last giveaway, I had to bypass the first two winners because they were set at no-reply.  Here's a clue:  If no one ever replies to the comments you leave on blogs, then you're probably set at no-reply.  Do yourself a favor and google these words:  "No-reply blogger".  You'll find lots of tutorials to help you out.  If you're using Google Plus, you could be at no-reply and not even know it.  Try these words in your search:  "No-reply Google Plus".

2.  Leave a comment.  You can say anything you want to, but if you can't think of anything, here's a question for you:  What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

3.  Followers of my blog, new or time-honored, can leave a second comment for a second chance to win.

I will ship internationally, and so this giveaway is open to all citizens of Planet Earth.  Giveaway will remain open until March 14th.  Winner announced on March 15th.  Good luck!

Thanks for the chance! I think I would love to make my living by quilting but know the perils and difficulties of being self-employed, plus the fear of not being original. But I'm happy I get to do it for fun anyway!

What pretty fabrics! If I was sure I would not fail, I would open a quilt fabric shop in an old empty diner I keep eyeing every time I drive by.

What I would do if I knew I could not fail is a big question that I have actually thought about a lot. I still don't know the answer because I still haven't taught my brain to think without limits.

What pretty fabrics! I love those clear, bright colors.

What would I do if I knew I couldn't fail? That's a loaded question. One can either answer sensibly, or can answer with a fantasy. I want to fly. Just me, no airplane, although a magic carpet wouldn't be a bad thing. :)

What lovely fabrics. If I knew I couldn't fail I'd sing a solo song in front of an audience at a Folk Club - normally I'm nervous about joining in with a chorus (which may of course have something to do with sounding awful when I sing!)

Well, first I have to say that the question may well be the BEST blog question ever! Bravo! If I knew I could not fail, I would try various ideas for QAYG that have been running around in my mind for the past couple of months! I love the look of heavily quilted quilts, but so far I am not very good at free motion quilting, and quilting a big quilt on my home sewing machine is very hard on my shoulders etc.

Karen said...

Lovely giveaway. Thanks. If I knew I could not fail, I think I'd enter a quilt in a juried show.
