52 Photos Project: Horizon

The prompt for Week 46 of the 52 Photos Project is "Horizon".  We are asked:

Where the sky meets the earth.
That thin line, the farthest point in
your field of vision.
Where are you?
What do you see?

This is an image taken from the Paradise Trail on Mt. Rainier.  The wildflowers were in bloom.  These purple-pink blossoms were only one of the many colors we saw in the profusion of wildflowers on that day.  For this prompt, I'm focusing on the mountains in the background.

To see other horizons, visit the gallery.

Ahhh such a soothing beautiful photo. Just what I needed having finished marking a batch of year 2 degree course papers.

The picture is wonderful! You can almost feel a gentle breeze blowing through the evergreens and smell the flowers.

What an inviting picture! It makes me want to strap on my hiking boots and explore the flowers and mountains for hours.

So, am I the only one who suddenly has the urge to belt out, "The hills are alive...with the sound of music"? :) That would be a gorgeous card.

It looks such a beautiful trail and very much like the scenery I saw when I traveled in southern France last year.
