Resolution Revolution

Looking for the NewFO Challenge and Giveaway?  Click here.

And, if you're looking for my tutorial on fusible applique, click here.

I think the Pioneer Woman may have started something here.  If you read her post from today, she made her New Year's resolutions by using the letters from the word "Resolution" and going from there.  I decided to give it a try too:

Reorganize my undies.  (I think they have parties in the drawer when I'm not looking.)

Engage in guilty pleasures.  (Not elaborating.)

Sew a lot.  (No really.  I mean a LOT.)

Opine whenever possible.  (Isn't everyone entitled to my opinion?)

Let my feet go wild.  (They're always trying to dance and skip....which, at my age, can lead to falls.)

Understand that perfection is highly overrated.  (Definitely.)

Throw the ball up the stairs for Smitty at every opportunity.  (Might interfere with "Sew a lot.")

Iron my seams in the right direction.  (Whenever possible.)

Order take out occasionally.  (Makes "Sew a lot" easier, leaving more time for throwing the ball up the stairs for Smitty.  Definitely a win-win.)

Never use my thumb as a backstop for my rotary cutter again.  (I did that recently.  Ouch.)

What are your resolutions?

I love your resolutions! I'm sure Smitty will be happy he is included. I very rarely make them, since I know I will most likely break them! Especially the one about getting all my UFO's finished... I never seem to accomplish that. Maybe I'll just make a small list. LOL

I don't make resolutions so I won't join in. I love yours though and could easily adopt them all except maybe the first one!

Ooo, what a great list. Thanks for sharing! Mine are the usual boring ones -- exercise more, eat more healthy food and finish some projects!

Love your resolutions however no 1 seriously affected my time management today. I had to sit and ponder the problem of the undies drawer. Why is it that within a couple of days of organising it it looks like a really good party has taken place? Other drawers stay tidy for ages. Do I really create that much chaos making a choice of what undies to wear? All I can say is thank goodness it's the undies drawer and not my fabric stash that I have to reorganise all the time.

I'm not much of a resolution maker. I did my wish-to-do list for NewFO 2013 & that's close enough for me! Yours are fun tho'. :)

I love all your resolutions, and if you don't mind, since they seem to be mostly attainable, I'd love to adopt them as my own! All except, throw the ball up the stairs for Smitty. While I'm sure he'd love another sucker, I mean, thrower of said ball, I could never bear your cold & damp weather, so I'll just modify that one a bit...I'll throw the squeak for my pup, Bailey. And it won't be up the stairs, since we looked long & hard for a house that had none! It'll just be around the corner or across the lawn.

Wishing you lots of success on your panty drawer; I can see our panties must all be related. And if yours are anything like mine, why do they shrink with each passing week? Must be a conspiracy between them & the dryer, eh?

I'm thinking that there must be some catnip in that undie drawer ; )
