Curve Ball

So I just now logged onto the Curves Complete website, watched a few videos, and then looked at my meal plan for next week.  The Great Scarcity begins Monday.  Did I say "scarcity"?  I meant to say "Plenty of Boring Food".  But I'm committed.  As I said last week, now I've put my money where my ample mouth is, and I would hate for that money to just run on through undigested (pausing to allow that visual to sink in for a moment).

Yes, I'm committed (she says, unconvincingly).  I even wrote an email to Mike and told him how to look at my food plan.  I told him we're in this together, but that I'm not opposed to getting him other foods that he might want.  As for me, I was thrilled to be exchanging things like 12 almonds for 6 Kashi crackers.  It seems a long way to fall, doesn't it?  From cheesecake to yogurt.  From cookies to Kashi.  Oy.

Now here's the thing.  When I met with the "coach" last week, she asked me if there was any food I absolutely couldn't live without.  Without a moment's hesitation, I replied "ice cream, but I'm willing to switch to sorbet".  Silly me thinking that sorbet would appear on my meal plan.  It does not.  I suppose I'll have to take this up with the coach, because I do have my limits.  If I have to eat Greek yogurt, celery, and Kashi, I should at least get to have sorbet somewhere during the day, don't you think?  Heck, I'll even do an extra round of machines at the gym if I have to, but I must have my sorbet.

Sorbet!  Ole!

Who's with me?

Well..... that's enough to put me off dieting forever! No sorbet? What kind of diet is this anyway? I'm making protest posters as I type. There ought to be a law!!!

There's a lot to be said for the WW point system which allows any food although, of course, good eating habits are encouraged! But you don't want to know that, do you?

I'm certain Teresa is right and there is a law against limiting or stopping a girl's supply of ice cream or sorbet. Well I certain there is in the UK anyway. I'm about to start my eating plan at the beginning of February so you wont be alone but I will be having sorbet (sorry).

That's no fun! My coach said I need to concentrate on proteins over carbs. I told him I don't run off 800 calories a day to not eat ice cream.

Where I could live without the ice cream or sorbet, there are other foods I couldn't do without. Plus the fact that I nearly despise most vegetables is such a challenge. I am here to help cheer you on in your journey, GO Barbara!!!

Will be cheering you on! I would be fine if I stopped with supper instead of going for the cookies and mini candy bars!!! Ugh! Gotta get with it.....Spring is coming.....Blessings, Doreen

Ice cream, sorbet - what if you stuck some of your Greek yogurts in the freezer? Trader Joe's brand is my favorite Greek style yogurt, but I've been trying some of the others too. Oikos was a close runner up, even if John Stamos didn't show up.

What??!! I agree with quiltzyx, but I would throw the yogurt in a blender with some fruit, then freeze it.

Would no sugar added fudge pops by Fudgicle work for you?

You'll like the Skinny Cow! I like both the vanilla and the chocolate. But I'm not an ice cream addict, I just need something sweet after dinner.
