Sunshine!

Look for the November NewFO Linky Party and Giveaway right here.

Good morning!  Smitty here.  The sun came out this December morning, which is pretty unusual in these parts.  Sometimes it rains so much that I forget it's even possible to go outside.  My mom said I was spending too much time sleeping on my cat pole, and I AM a growing boy, after all.  So she invited me to come out and help her empty the compost pail.  I was so happy to oblige that my feet came four feet off the ground.

When she got out the camera, I decided to show her my best side.

I'm pretty sure there are some mousies running around out here.  Mousies like the sunshine as much as I do.  And I like mousies.  I'm pretty sure they are solar powered.  When I see them outside, they run like the dickens.  But then I take them inside to give to my mom, and sometimes, they don't move at all.  I wonder why.

I thought it was a good morning to have a little nip.  Did you know they decriminalized catnip in two states in the last election?  Right on, Man.  It's still illegal in Oregon though, so I have to be stealth when I imbibe in kitty drugs.

Whoa.  Does that stuff make me crazy, or what?

Oh!  Me thinks a mousie lurks.  I need to catch one for my Mom.

She's leaving to get her haircut soon.  Won't she be surprised when she gets home?

This little poem came to mind:

I love to eat the mousies.
The mousies I love to eat.
Bite of their little heads.
Nibble their little feet.

This little song came to mind

Soft mousie, warm mousie,
Little ball of fur.
Happy kitty, hungry kitty,
Purr, purr, purr.
Little mousie, yummy mousie,
Purr, purr, urp

Smitty is such a cutie. He's grown so much. He doesn't look as much like a kitten anymore.

I love when the grass holds so many drops. So pretty. Reminds me, I meant to bring in a plant for over the winter. Too late. Again.

CatCat wants to party with the slow mousies and Smitty. She has slept on the plastic parson's table for two and a half days now. Wonder what was happening to put that much exhaustion into her ?~!
