Foto Finish: Birds

Looking for the October Linky Party?  Click here.

The optional theme for this week's Foto Finish is "Birds".  Here's my entry:

We saw this guy at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, which is a part of Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Arizona.  It's an American Kestrel.  The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is one of my favorite places to visit when we travel in the southwest.  It's part zoo, part botanical garden, and very interesting.  If you ever make a trek to Tucson, it's a can't miss exhibit.

With our "Fall back" to regular time happening tonight, I couldn't resist choosing "Time" for next week's theme.  Remember you can interpret the theme any way you like, or forget about the theme and choose something completely different.

If you don't have a blog, you can always join in and link from my FlickR group. Or, if you're having trouble, you can email your image to me as an attachment, and I'll link it for you. Now here's Mr. Linky:

Nice shot. He obviously knew which one was his best side!

Wow, he's beautiful and looks sweet until you notice those heavy gloves on the handler.

That kestral is gorgeous! Well, I meant to link up my bird photo that I used on my latest quilt blog post, but I seem to have just linked the whole post. :/ Sorry about that, Barbara

We had a kestrel that lived in a tree in the back of our yard at the house on Hunter Road. They make the funniest noises!! This is a fabulous capture! :)

Love that shot! And I'm proud of myself that I even knew (somehow!) it was a Kestrel. Yay me!
