Oops. I almost forgot to post the last batch of quilts from the MQX West quilt show. This next group contains more traditional quilts than my previous posts, although there are still a few mermaid and under-the-sea quilts in this group.
I really love red and white quilts, and the blocks in these first two were especially appealing to my eye.
From the back:
This next quilt won a first place ribbon. The quilting was gorgeous, and all hand-guided. So impressive.

The Irish chain is one of my favorite traditional quilt blocks. I loved the colors in this one.

I just liked this next one. Look at the ships firing cannon balls at one another at the top.
Oh my goodness. This next one...patience, indeed.
This next quilt was small...maybe 30 inches x 18 inches?
This quilting made me think of the Zentangles.
Another mermaid. I thought the beading and embellishing on this one was pretty spectacular.
For you puppy lovers.
I loved the colors in this next one, but also, the storm-at-sea border.
And that's it! You'll have to wait for next year's show to see more. Anybody want to come along?

Wow! Beautiful quilts! I'm always in awe of what others can do.
I waited for the end to comment - thay were all just 'jaw-dropping' stunning! If I had to pick just one, it would be the red/white quilt. Thank you for sharing.
So much inspiration in all these photos. I can't even begin to choose a favorite. Thanks for sharing all these with us. Your photography is spectacular, by the way.
Those are amazing and I really love the seahorse quilt. Your room looks wonderful nice and neat and looks wonderful with your quilts. Now how long is that going to last? LOL

I would love to go to next year's show.
I am in awe...I will say that having gotten more interested in seeing actual quilting I will have a much different eye when "our" big show rolls around! What fun!
Storm at Sea is one of my favorites too, altho' I've only gotten as far as one block done. it was a trial block for the first wedding gift quilt I made. (Which was NOT a SaS after all!)
Thank you so much for taking us along with you to the show. The quilts & quilting were all amazing!
I think you saved the best for last, all I can say is WOW, they're all so beautiful.
I'm like Sharon...I was sitting there looking, with my mouth hanging open. Gosh, they're all amazing! Yes! I want to go next year! LOL Might take more than a year to save for the plane ticket! Giggle!
Omg the Irish chain is gorgeous but I am really in love with the mermaid! Thank you for having such great taste in picking quilts to show us. My mouth fell open at the beauty and I still can't get it closed! Lol
I think this may be the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen.
Thanks for sharing!
Groan..and I mean that in an awe-inspired way. Thank you.
