Back in Action

Hooray!  I'm back in my sewing room!  I still need help hanging a few things on the walls and getting a few cords and wires put back where they belong, but tomorrow, I can start sewing in my sewing room again.  I spent the whole day getting things put away.  And let me tell you, I had more help than you can shake a stick at.

He was into

under

and on top of everything.

And we found a treasure trove of toy mice,

and no real ones, fortunately.

We checked out everything

and reorganized

until we ran the wheels clean off the cat.

By the time we were finished, I had claimed half of the closet space.  Yippee!

Old Bessie was back where she belongs.  (Actually, I never call my sewing machine "Bessie", but it would be a good name for her, don't you think?)

And my ping pong table was back at doing what it was born to do.  Wait...you mean you actually use yours for ping pong?

I still need to have Mike hang my thread racks on that far wall in the image above, but thank goodness the wine rack is back where we can get at it again!  Not that there's been any shortage of whining since this happened.

And I have added another fabric storage bin, so all my fabric is put away now.

There are still some things out in the family room that need to go up in the attic.  Those would be the things that were displaced so I could claim my rightful space in the closet.  There's probably about another hour's worth of work tomorrow, but I need Mike to help me with the rest.

Tomorrow I'll be back to sewing.  I've always been grateful for my large sewing space, but my gratitude will know no bounds from here on.

What a lovely space! And I love what you've done with it - all the wall hangings and such. I know how I do love to work in a space that is freshly cleaned and organized. Too bad they never stay that way.

Smitty reminds me a lot of my Scamper! They are sweet, but sure can be a mess, too!

The room looks wonderful and I see Smitty loves it too.
I threw our table out, didn't think it was sturdy enough for cutting on, but good idea. I stole our old dining table, it is large, sturdy and I can even iron on it.

Congrats on getting your sewing room back.

I'll bet you were ready to take a nap with Smitty once you got that all put back together!

Wow it looks great!! And yes we do use the ping pong table to play ping pong. But you just wait. When the kids are gone, and I get the upstairs bedroom for a sewing room, the ping pong table is right out side the door :-)

Looks like your supervisor did a great job keeping you on task and your day was productive. I imagine you'll both sleep well tonight and tomorrow you can do the Snoopy Dance into your sewing haven! It looks wonderful!

Love watching you and your helper. I use my ping pong table to sandwich quilts.

Question: how did you make the map you used to show your trip route?

Smitty is adorable! He looks a lot like my two outside boys. They are 6 months old and still in that "explore everything and pounce on anything that moves" stage. I absolutely love watching a cat just being a cat!
