This week's prompt for the 52 Photos Project is "Still Life". While still life isn't my favorite subject, I was able to find this shot in the archives.
It's a Triple Citrus Tart that I made shortly after watching a couple of restaurant chefs make it on an episode of Julia Child's cooking show. I was newly retired and only just beginning to spread my wings with adventurous attempts at cooking and baking. This tart had orange zest in the crust, a homemade lime curd, and thin slices of lemon, making up the triple citrus part of the name. Then it was topped with a fluffy meringue...something I'd never attempted before. It turned out beautifully, and it tasted just as good as it looks. It was a masterpiece, and I hated to cut into it. That didn't stop us from eating the whole thing, however.

It might not be your favorite subject but it was a tasty one! Great job on the meringue and your glass is very pretty.
The tart looks yummy but I love the wine glass. Is it antique?
