It's that time again. We're ready to see the new projects you started during the month of August. No finishes required! The only requirement for linking up is that you started something new during the month of August. Even mug rugs and potholders count! We're easy...round heels, you might say. Or maybe not. I guess that means something else. We are pushovers for new projects, however. So let's see what you've done. And feel free to show us your progress on NewFO's from prior months. Here's what I did in August:
My latest project is "Mumm's the Word". It's a free sampler pattern that I found on the internet created by Debbie Mumm to celebrate 25 years of quilting. Here's what the quilt will look like when it's finished:
This month, I started with the house blocks.
But don't let that finish scare you off because finishes are definitely not required in this challenge. The only thing you need to do to link up is start something new. And if you link up, you'll be entered to win this month's quilt pin:
To win, please link-up with your newly started projects, finished or not. If you feel like it, show us the progress you've made on your other 2012 NewFO projects. Please link to your blog post, not your blog. To do that, just click on the title of your post to isolate it from the rest of your blog. Then copy the URL and use that to link up. If you have questions about how to do that or about how to link up, please email me. And if you're having trouble posting your image, email it to me as an attachment, and I'll do it for you.
I'm looking forward to see your new projects! I'll leave this linky open for one week...until 9/7 and then announce the winner. International entries are welcome.

I don't make quilts so I had to pick the "quiltiest" project I did recently. A patchwork crocodile.
Thanks for hosting a linky party. I love seeing all the things folks make.
Love your houses and the fabric in your BQ quilt. I have already won a pin, so don't enter me.
I'm not linking up, cos I can't show a picture of my project....but I wanted to stop in and say that I love your houses. That Debbie Mumm project is going to be so cool!
Thanks for posting my August project - it still gets a border before quilting. I love the quilting done on the one you are sending to Ruthie! Really adorable. Also enjoyed the 'Bob' and Richard pics - :)
lovely work. I have my post all ready to go for tomorrow :)
Cute little houses!
I love Debbie Mumm projects, and I really like the fabric choices in your houses.I've started at least 3 Newfo's this month, but am only showing 2 of them. Thanks for hosting this party, and with coming up with the idea. I like having an excuse to start something new. LOL!
You had some great "new" starts!!! And finishes, too!! LOL! :)
I really like that Mumm's the Word quilt, too. I may have to do a little googling for that! :)
Love the house blocks. I will definitely be doing a NewFO for September.
Another great month's worth of starts! Thanks alot Barbara for the Debbie Mumm project, I see that in my future sometime soon!
I love the houses! You are so industrious with all you do! I need to focus on getting stuff finished, but starting new projects is so much fun! LOL
I'm enjoying everyone's projects. Thanks for hosting each month.
I love that daisies and dots quilt! Very cute house blocks too.
Love the houses - and especially your bright colors. That's going to be a great quilt.
I love the looks of "Mumm's the Word" - Good one!
I adore this concept. My finished quilt list this year is smaller but my completed "small projects" is so much longer!
Great houses!
Only restarted quilting and other needlecraft in April so I don't have any UFO's yet (except a very late millennium cross stitch sampler) I love the idea of starting new projects every month so this linky is great.
I love the house blocks.
Love your houses and the cat reports.
Barbara, I started my polka dot project for next week's dot blog hop. I'm having so much fun reading people's guesses as to what it is!
Well I started the pattern I received.
Right now it is defiantly a UFO now
