Patriots Block in a Quilt

Looking for my Red, White, & Blue block and my Blogiversary Giveaway?  Click right here.

A few people have said they would like to see the Patriots block I posted for the Red, White, & Blue blog hop in a quilt so that they can see the secondary design.  I'm not much of an EQ person, but I did figure out how to do that.  Here is the block again:

And here it is made up into a quilt:

I'd probably do more with the borders than what I've shown you here, but it's a start.  I kind of like how this looks.  It's interesting anyway.  Now that I've figured this out, I might try some of my other blocks.

EQ hasn't really captured my imagination, mainly because I don't enjoy messing around on the computer when I don't know what I'm doing. The computer frustrates me easily, and when I get frustrated I start slamming doors and throwing myself on the floor and generally throwing a tantrum.  Then I have to put myself in time out, and I get very bored when I'm in time out.  It isn't a pretty picture.  I can see how this would be helpful, and the best way for me to learn is to experiment.  Maybe I'll spend some time with some of the other blocks I've made.

Wow! Now I don't feel so bad that I've not spent much time learning how to use my EQ software! If it makes you do that, I can only imagine what might happen to me :*) Do you have any pictures to share of you in full tantrum mode and/or time out? That would be a really fun blog post I think :*)

And I always thought you were such a serene, placid type of gal :)

That looks like it would make a fabulous quilt too!

It is a kapow quilt - sure it didn't hit you.
The way I deal with technology is press buttons & hope for the best.
It worked today with Facebook. If not I pull the plug or plugs.
Great satisfaction.

I agree with Teresa...you need to hand the camera to "Sweet Cheeks" when you feel the next tantrum coming on...LOL
It's a great block, and your whole quilt shows the nice secondary patterns it makes. I like it a lot. :)
Course, I have heard quilters say that Ole Frog Eyes is easier than EQ...just saying. Heehee!

Great graphics with that block! You'll get the hang of EQ - I'm sure of it. Besides, it hurts too much getting back up off of the floor....
