This and That

It took me a while to get my sewing mojo operating today.  I don't think my clock has reset from traveling halfway around the world.  While I've slept fine for the two nights prior, last night I was awake before 4:00 a.m., and then not able to get back to sleep.  It made it hard to want to do anything.  Nevertheless, I managed to complete the June block for the Hello Sun BOM.

These blocks are so cute and fun to work on.  Here are the others I've made so far.

Then I completed my one block for the June Block Lotto.

Also, I keep neglecting to show you the swap quilt I received in the Quilts for Quilters swap.  My partner, Kelly, made this pretty blue lap quilt for me.  It's very soft and cuddly, and George and I have appreciated using it for our morning snuggles.

Here's the back.

This quilt is replacing a little comforter I had that was dropping goose down feathers everywhere.  It's nice to have a soft warm quilt that doesn't make a mess every time I use it.

How did your day go?

Glad you got some sewing done. I just couldn't wake up today. Finally got out for some errands, then I woke up. I did find a great, already half hand quilted, Christmas tree skirt at a thrift store for 66 cents. That was my 'sewing' today. Maybe tomorrow. I have some projects to finish, if I can just get started. Those 'sun's are cute!

Fun in the Sun indeed!
I didn't do much crafty today, but did get a perm & finally got my "accumulated" mail from the post office finally! I had put a hold on it while I was visiting my sisters & Dad - 6/5 - 6/16. They 'say' that they tried to deliver it on the 16th, but I wasn't home. Hmmm, no note or delivery notice & our common mailboxes do have a big box that can be used, then they leave the key in our little one. Nope. Anyway, I got a whole tub of mail today with lots of goodies amongst the junk mail! (Including the new Generation Q magazine!) Hooray!

It always seems to take forever to get back into the right time zone after a big trip.
