Leftover Images from Ireland: Part Nine (Cead Mile Failte)

This is the last of the images of the quilt show.  This is from the Cead Mile Failte exhibit, which means A Hundred Thousand Welcomes.  This was my favorite part of the whole show.  Participants were invited to submit a quilt block showing a hand welcoming visitors to the quilt festival.  There were so many to see, and it was very enjoyable looking at the many clever and creative entries.  After seeing this, I found myself wishing I had made one and submitted it.  The first image shows one side of the exhibit.  There were just as many hands on the reverse side of this display.  After that, I'll show you some of my favorites.  There were a number of hands from the USA, and I'll just say that the Lone Star State was well represented.  Enjoy!

Tomorrow or the next day I'll be showing you the last of my leftover images from Ireland.  I hope you have enjoyed the trip.

Well I'm hoping you find even more you haven't shown us, I'm really not ready to come home from Ireland.

Love all those hands. Love how each one is so different, but, they all go together well.

Very cool hands. I like the one with the 3-d leaves the best.
