Update on George

Thank you to all who have written to express your support, purrs, prayers and warm thoughts for George.

I just now spoke with the vet's office staff who gave me this information:  They have been giving him fluids and keeping him comfortable.  He's still very unsteady on his feet and he's still dizzy.  He wasn't able to get into his kennel by himself.  They drew his blood this morning, and will have the results some time this afternoon.  We won't really know anything until his lab work comes back.  He's still a pretty sick kitty.

He takes medicine daily for his pemphigus condition, and he missed it yesterday since I didn't think to take it with me in my panic yesterday.  I'm taking it down this morning, since I'm expecting he'll spend at least one more night with them.  Hopefully, I'll be able to see him and give him a pet or two.  Poor guy.  So worried about him, and I just hate that he's having to stay with the vet.  He has an excellent vet, and she's very good with him.  Still, I know he can't be very happy being with strangers.

I've been haunting your blog hoping for an update. Thanks. Does she have any guesses on what's going on? I hope you get to see him, it will help him to know you're there, even for a couple of pets and whispers.

I've been waiting for an update, too. I can soooo imagine what you're going through. Give him a hug for me, please, when you see him and tell him if he doesn't get well soon, Gracie gets all the treats!

I'll check your blog to get an update.

I just read your two posts about George. I hope it's a simple infection or something easily cured. I know how important a pet is! I'll bet he's feeling miserable, just because I would be with those symptoms.

So sorry to hear this about George. Hope they can find something that will help him to get better. It's so hard when they cannot tell us what is wrong.

I just read both posts about George. I'm so sorry to hear that he is ill and having to spend time at the vets. Hopefully she will have a miracle cure and he will be home soon. It's so hard to have our furbabies end up sick and even worse when they have to be away from us and our love. Prayers being sent for George's speedy recovery.

Oh dear, it's so hard when our 4-legged members of the family are ill. I hope that there is a medicine that will make George better.

Poor George, so hard when they have to stay away from home. I sure hope they figure it out, so they can help him and he can come home.

Bless his heart! And yours too! It is so stressing to have them in a place where you know they are not secure and comfortable. We'll keep praying for him!

So sorry that George is going through this-they don't do anything to deserve it, do they? Take care.

Keeping him in my thoughts. Maybe they would let you go and sit with him for awhile if they have a spare room.
