This was my month in the We Bee Learnin Block Bee. I chose a Bow Tie block from Canoe Ridge Creations. This is the test block I made.
I asked for blocks that had a background of white or white on white, and then a different color for each of the bow ties. Also, I asked for the blocks to have some sort of theme. For example, mine has a food theme. (And I specified that "scrappy" counts as a theme too.)
Yesterday I received the first two blocks from Nita and Danielle. Aren't these sweet? Danielle's block is floral.
Thank you so much for these pretty blocks Nita and Danielle!
I will have nine more blocks coming to me. I think these are going to make into a pretty quilt. I have in mind to put a sashing with cornerstones when I sew them all together. I can't wait to see them all lined up so I can decide what colors to use.

Nita's block has a farmer's market theme. And you know I love a good farmer's market.

The blocks are so creative. You know I would have never thought of using the food fabric the way you have. Great is the mine of a quilter, who's eyes see what other cannot.
