Quilted and Bound

This morning I sat and finished the binding on my swap quilt, Flying Colors.  It's always so satisfying to take the last stitch on a binding and finish a quilt.  I just need to add a label and then I'll be ready to put it into the mail to my swap partner.

This is how the back looks.

Also, during my lazy morning, I made some progress on my Vintage Miniature Sewing Machines stitchery.  This is the first in a block of the month series.  I thought with all the intricacy in the machine decoration that this might be slow going.  It's actually going much faster than I thought it would.  I should easily have it finished before the end of the month.

Currently, I have three embroidered quilt projects going, and I'm trying to do a block per month on each.  We'll just see how long I can keep this up.

And now because it's after noon and I'm still in my PJ's, maybe I'll do something less fun.

You have made some progress today. I just started another project. What's wrong with me? By doing something less fun do you mean cleaning toilets?

Flying colors is really lovely in those colors - the butterflies look like they are very happy that it is spring (they probably haven't seen the snow outside your house!). Your little antique machine is coming along very nicely! I love all the detail and the machine actually has a character, like a dainty old lady in laces & handkerchiefs :*)

Flying colors is beautiful. I really like the quilting motif you used, very appropriate.

I worked on embroidery while we were away on spring break. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. I will definietly be doing more.

I'm not so sure you can call your morning "lazy"! You got quite a bit accomplished. What a darling sewing machine stitchery!
