March Snow

This is what I woke up to this morning.

It has been falling in great fat flakes all morning.  I waited for it to stop, and then donned my snow gear and went out to feed our birdie friends.  (I worry about them when the ground is covered with snow.)  I found that squirrel shield you see on the middle of the pole wrapped up around the top of the pole after yesterday's wind storm.

We've been feeding the birds for long enough that I think they understand when the hooded figure in the black coat starts messing around the feeders, it can only mean something good for them.  I hear them chipping and cheeping, as if urging me on.

The tree branches are heavily laden, which often means they break off and fall to the ground.  It leaves quite a mess to clean up when the white stuff is all gone.

It's dark too.

And quiet.

Let's see . . . what am I going to do today?  Can you guess?  It's probably not a good day for planting flower pots.

Oh good grief. It's almost 70 degrees here today. I hauled my plants outside and hosed them down to chase away the aphid infestation. I hope that white stuff doesn't get this far.

We had that kind of morning Saturday - hope it doesn't head our way - in the lovely 60's today.

Snow sorry. Near Chicago we are having almost record high temps today. 68 degrees. Weird weather this winter, all over. I'm still waiting for another really big snowfall here.

More snow! Here it is almost the middle of March and you are being covered in white stuff. Your storm is supposed to reach us this weekend but we won't receive snow - but hopefully we will get at least a little rain. Stay warm and enjoy your day!

Oh my what a winter wonderland!!! It was 80 degrees here in Florida. I know you can get snow pretty late up north.

So sorry to see you got snowed on again but those are sure pretty pictures. We hit 63 today and lots of people were in shorts and tshirts.

It's a very lazy 80* here....slight breeze. Makes it hard to keep working at anything. All I want to do is nap!

I have lived in the Seattle area for a long time, and I don't remember snow this late before. We woke up to 2" and beautiful snow showers. The sun came out this afternoon, and it is all gone now, but more is predicted for tonight. Who knows?
