1,000 Posts and a Giveaway!

Well, I'm happy to say that I'm embarrassed to say that I'm celebrating my 1,000th post!  I don't know if it's something to celebrate, or if it's simply a monument to my verbosity.

When I started this blog, I just wanted to participate in Design Wall Monday . . . and yet, here I am less than two years and 1,000 posts later.  Wow.  You have all been incredibly supportive in your comments about my sewing, my cooking, my photography, and my mindless musings.  Honestly, I have met the nicest people in Blogland.  You all deserve a giveaway after all of that!  So, here it is:

I'm giving away five fat quarters from Amy Butler's "Cherry Sky" line.  These are so bright and cheery that I couldn't resist them.  So what do you have to do to win?

1.  Followers only this time.  Since this is a party for all of you who have encouraged me along the way, I'm making that a prerequisite.  New or old . . . just be a follower first.

2.  Leave a comment and tell me where you were born:  city, state, and country if you're outside the United States.  I'll tally it all up and tell you the results when I announce the winner on Leap Day, February 29th, 2012, sometime after 5:00 p.m. (Pacific).  One comment per person only, please.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again for reading.  You are the best!

Perhaps you are only loquacious....not verbose. Never pompous. Always worth reading. Heehee! Richmond, Virgina, the capitol of the Confederacy. I guess that makes me infamous. LOL

Of course, I follow! I could never miss out on the antics of George and Gracie. Oh, yes, and your words of wisdom and fun :-)

As your First Follower, I must ask, why are others leaving two comments ?~! One with the fact that we follow and the other with a city state and country, ostensibly where we stepped into our current bodies.

Recollections include the post where Mike planned the brickwork for the greenhouse walkway/landing ?~! The minor (ha~!) problems with the motor home as you journeyed made for good reading; we vicariously plied the southern deserts meeting many different species of flora and fauna along the way. Your blog is a source of solidity and constancy, not to mention the Incredible quilts you build and share with us week after week... Yours must be my favorite blog by now. Thanks for writing and keeping it so well.

Congrats on 1000! I, of course, am a follower. Born in Conrad, Montana in the US of A. I got my binding tool (very fast service, too), have used it. How did I ever live without it? It is simply the best tool next to my ruler & rotary cutter ever. Thanks for the tutorial or I never would have found out about it.

I was born in Lebanon, Oregon and lived there and didn't really leave good ol' Lebanon other than once to California, once to Canada and once to Idaho for camping trips. Once I got married I've been a few more places and lived in a few different places. Once we got here, to Western Washington I told hubby I wasn't moving again! :)
