Stash Report: Week 4

Geez.  Are we four weeks into the month already?  It's probably a good thing then, that I finished the embroidery for Block 1 of the Promises and Borders quilt this morning.

I'm not sure I like the variegated floss for the words.  It makes them a little hard to read.  I may decide to take that part out and use one color.  It stitched up pretty quickly, so it wouldn't be too much of a setback.  I still need to put the sashing on this block, and then I'll be ready to start on the next one.

But what about my stash report, you ask.  Lots of yardage bit the dust this week since I made a back for a large quilt.

Fabric Used this Week:  11 yards
Fabric Used in 2012:  16 3/4 yards

Fabric Purchased:  zero
Total Fabric Purchased in 2012:  8 1/2 yards

Net Used in 2012:  8 1/4 yards

It's slightly inaccurate to say that I didn't purchase any this week.  Actually, I did purchase some online, but it hasn't arrived yet, and I can't remember how much there was.  I'll have to wait until it arrives on my doorstep before I can count it.  Still, I think I'm safely in the minus column even with the new stuff that's coming.

Your stitchery looks great!! It's hard to see the variegated thread from the photo, but I do know from personal experience that it does make it a little tougher to read. That being said, I had no trouble reading the Scripture from your photo at all! And I think you don't have to count stash until it's actually in your possession, right?! LOL! Great numbers this week! :)

Impressive stash report. Still in the black 4 weeks in, even with fabric on the way!

Very pretty stitchery. I agree with Denise, the words on that one are not hard to read.

Lovely block, Barbara. I'm almost through with mine also. I used the thread I had around, so didn't use a varigated thread. Lovely background fabric too!

Great numbers.

Love that block. I have this one bookemarked too, but I don't think I will start on it in Jan. Too many other projects and the month really is winding down quickly.
I say that fabric doesn't count until it is actually in hand - not in your house = not in your stash - LOL
