Foto Finish: Ribbon

This week's Foto Finish theme is:  Ribbon

Here's my entry:

It's just a little something under our tree this year.  Love this blue wrapping paper and the silver bow.  Makes me think of icicles and snow . . . which we are sadly lacking so far this season.  We had some snow one day, but I'm wishing for a white Christmas.  Not until Christmas Day, however.  We had snow and ice one Christmas Eve, which meant that Erik and Mae couldn't make it to the top of our mountain for Christmas Eve dinner and gift opening.  It was the saddest Christmas on record.  We made our way down to their house the next day, but I sure missed them on Christmas Eve.  Matthew will be arriving by train from Klamath Falls on Monday, and he'll be staying with us.  I'm so looking forward to gathering my whole family around for the big day.  It's the best part of Christmas--spending time with my family.

For next week's theme, I'm thinking of something Colorful

Could be the colors of the season.  Could be one color.  Could be many colors.  As always, your interpretation of the theme of the week is totally up to you.

Now I'm ready to see your "Ribbon".  Here's Mr. Linky:

These are my favorite kinds of bows ... the way they catch the light and reflect it--so pretty!! :)

Beautiful wrapping paper and bow! Years ago I used to automatically think of red/white/green when Christmas wrapping was mentionged, and truth to tell that's what they were offering in the stores. I'm glad to see we're branching out a bit.

We had the threat of snow in my area but haven't had any yet thank goodness. I think I can wait awhile :O)

I love blue and silver together. Last year that's all I had for my tree. As far as snow goes, we've had two storms so far (melted) and as I write this it's snowing but it's forecast as snow flurries. We'll see.
