This week was devoted almost exclusively to Sunshine on My Shoulders. I sewed the blocks together and completed the first three of eight borders. I have the fourth border, which is pieced, 3/4 of the way done, and I expect to finish the rest of it today. Then there will be four more borders, quilting, and binding, and it will be FINISHED! This is my October UFO challenge project.
I've been working on this quilt for a long time. It will be good to mark it up in the finished category.
Also, I contributed to 4 Patches 4 Hope campaign. These are the little 4 Patch blocks I contributed in memory of my mother, my mother-in-law, and my Aunt Joan. This takes so little time, and it is a very worthy cause.
Along with these projects, I'm continuing with my handwork, which includes the Sew Happy Sew Along that so many people are doing as well as my hand-quilted whole cloth mini quilt. I'll save the pictures of those for another day.

It's coming along beautifully -- this is going to be a spectacular quilt -- I bet it makes you smile to look at it! :)
Your quilt is looking amazing! I especially like the pieced border. I am sending off blocks today for the 4 Patches 4 Hope campaign. Such a great cause. Have a wonderful week, Barbara!
That border really sets off the quilt; it is just beautiful. It looks hug - how big is it going to end up?
Yummm! I love the orange-and-yellow combination. Great border, too.
Orange and yellow - two of my favorite colors. I love your quilt! gorgeous.
The orange is so fun to work with! I would never have said it was one of my favorites until I did a swap on Flickr. Your yellow and orange is perfection!

Your quilt warms my heart and reminds me of all those happy old songs about sunshine (Powder your face with sunshine...put on a great big smile...)
If I knew where you lived, I'd be at your backdoor with a hungry look in my eyes, begging for your scraps.
I love your orange quilt, the name for it is perfect! It's all I can do to not jump up and start cutting one for myself! :)
SOMS quilt is getting better with every border! That's a lot of piecing & it looks great!
