Two Finishes

My sleeping cats are finished!  I am so happy to have this completed.  The decision to make the cats all different colors came from the border fabric I wanted to use.  Here's a close-up.  I fell in love with this fabric when I saw it.  I'm a sucker for cat fabrics anyway.

It's hard to see in this image, but the polka dot background is multi-colored as well.  The back isn't made yet.  Sadly, I don't have enough of the fabric that I wanted to use from my stash.  That means I'll have to buy some.  I've kind of decided to use a solid grass green that will match the green in the border, and then use the same green for the binding.  I need to have it ready for Wednesday when I meet up with my quilter, Tammi, so that means a trip to the fabric store on Monday.  I'll have to avert my eyes from anything not green.

The second finish was this stitchery from my "Day in the Life of Mr. Bear" quilt.

I just love these stitcheries.  It'll have a dark rose border like the first stitchery did, and then I'll be adding some scrappy pink squares to build the entire block.  I'll probably work on that next week some time.

And I'm linking up to:

Fun, fun, fun, & finished! Great border print too.
Your stitcheries are coming out so nicely I'm tempted to start some too. (Then I think of my guild's banner, which I hand embroidered, and think again.)
