Northwest Quilting Expo: Third Round of Quilts

Ready for some more of the quilt pictures I took at the Northwest Quilting Expo?  Put on your sunglasses.  These next two are really colorful.  At first glance, this first one looks like a double wedding ring.

But when you get up close and look at the detail, it's more like a log cabin.

I believe this next one is called a New York Beauty.  Some day I'd like to try one of these.

This next one won best of show.  It had over 44,000 crystals on it.  It was just fabulous.  All of the quilts were beautiful, but this one was far and away the most ornate.

And this is the back.

For texture, I think this next one was my favorite.  I hope you can see the feathers well enough.

The feathers looked so realistic.  It was tempting to pet him.

The shooting stars on this next one had messages written in their tails.  But I loved the quilt detail at the bottom.

That's it for today.  I'll have one more batch of pictures for you tomorrow.

I'm in the process of finishing up my "Let Sleeping Cats Lie" quilt.  I'm just taking a little break from it.  The top-stitching on the mice had me hunching up my shoulders until my neck was hurting.  It's finished now though.  Just the borders are left.  Think I can finish it today?

Wow! These are awesome! They are so realistic...especially the rooster. Of course, I might be a bit biased, I love roosters...and this one is so colorful! Thanks for letting us go along with you through your photos. Luv
