Northwest Quilting Expo: More Quilts

Here is the next batch of quilts that caught my eye at the Northwest Quilting Expo yesterday.

Just look at the texture in these flowers!

And I love the color in this one.  It was about lap size.

It had the most marvelous thread work.

This one is a crazy quilt.

Here is the detail.

I've never seen anything quite like this next batch.  It was like looking at a quilted wedding gown, and there were several of these.

This next one is a log cabin block, but it's the fanciest one I've ever seen.

The texture in these elephants was just unbelievable.  Their skin looked so touchable.

This is the last one I'll post for today's batch.  This one won the Judge's Choice award.  It made me think of my mother.  She wore dresses made from these kinds fabrics when she was younger.  Of course, I've only seen them in pictures, but it made me think of her.

I'll post some more tomorrow, including the quilt that one Best of Show.

Those are such beautiful art and fun quilts. Love seeing something different and inspires me to think more about what I can create.

The crazy quilt with the multicolored flowers and butterflies is probably one of the most beautiful quilts I've ever seen.

Lots of 3D embellishing going on there. Those flowers on the first one were very interesting.
I couldn't pick a favorite, that is for sure. Love those bright colors - but oy! all the piecing!!
The elephants - amazing.

I'm overwhelmed now. Too bad I don't have a couch here in my office at work. LOL
