Here's my entry:
This is one of my favorite images from my trip to Italy a few years back. These are the rooftops in the walled city of Montone in the Umbria Region. The weather was overcast and rainy for our first few days traveling in Italy. When we visited Assisi, it was pouring rain. My traveling companion and I stopped in at the nearest gift shop and bought umbrellas. Before we could leave the gift shop, the rain had stopped, and it didn't rain again for the remaining two weeks of our trip. If we'd known it would work out that way, we'd have bought the umbrellas much earlier!
For next week's theme, I'm thinking of: Things that are slow.

I love that shot!! I have similar images from when we were stationed in Germany. Such beautiful places to visit and such perfect places to get scenery like no other. Thanks for sharing that photo and bringing back memories!!
Very "National Geographic" like image. I love all the color and texture in the tiled roof.
Makes me want to go back to Europe. We were there on an extended holiday four years ago.
Your picture is lovely, but I could stare at mine all day....I love to just sit at the beach and listen to the surf, watching the pelicans and gulls. I so NEED a vacation! LOL

Very cool shot Barbara. All the different colors in the roof tiles - they are so much more interesting than the ones here!
