Doll Quilt Swap

I'm so excited to say I received a doll quilt from my swap partner this afternoon.  This is the first time I've participated in this swap, and so it was exciting to see what she came up with.  Isn't this cute?

I absolutely love polka dots, and I think they go so well with these little tumbler blocks.  This quilt is about 19 x 14 inches and the blocks are about 2 3/4 inches square.  She quilted it with an all over meander.  I'm so happy with it!  Sign-ups for the September swap have started now, and I'm planning to continue to participate monthly for now.  Won't my sewing room look cute decorated with lots of doll quilts?

She also sent me a quarter yard of this fabric.  Very pretty.  I love the little border on it.

And this little token:  Two Wooden Nickels.  It says it can be redeemed for 10 cents in services at Heyer Drive-In in Fairview.  I'm thinking that must be in Pennsylvania, since my swap partner is from Union, PA.

With Fun Fact Friday Freebie, I'm often sending off squishies to other people.  I don't receive many, however, and so opening today's mail was quite a treat.

That is beautiful! I'm a big polka dot fan too ~ and isn't it nice to get the little extras? :D

Is that the DQ swap on the Quilting Board? I may have to jump into that again.
