A Love Story in One Short Blog Post

Remember that fabric I was trying to resist?  It came today.  Now here's the deal:  I looked, and looked, and looked at this, and I kept resisting it.

Then, I needed some muslin for my embroidered quilt blocks, and so I went to Fabric Depot online to find it.  Darned if they didn't have the fabric I was trying to resist on sale.  Now you must know me well enough by now to know I can't resist a sale.  It would be just crazy to resist, wouldn't it?  So here's what I ended up with:

Doesn't it all look so beautiful in its box?  Just look at these colors!

I kept resisting because I wasn't exactly sure what I would do with so many different colors of fat quarters . . . not exactly a large piece of fabric in any one color.  Then I remembered this pattern that has been on my to-do list for quite some time.

I think they'll go beeeeautifully in this quilt.  Now, I guess it gets moved to the top of my to-do list.

What's that you say?  The muslin?  Oh yes, here it is.

It looks pitiful next to those colors, doesn't it?

I would just leave it in the box and stare at it, lol.
I have seen quilts with gradations of color, that would be nice to do.

So pretty! You know you are a gonner when you open a package like that. First we touch with our eyes, and then we gently run our fingers across those perfectly folded edges, all the while with this goofy look on our face. Its fabric heaven. Colour therapy in a box. Wonderful!

It looks beautiful. I'm not good at seeing quilts in different colors. I will have to see your version when it is finished, because those fat quarters are.. Mmmmmmmmm! yummy!
