Embroidery is Complete!

The embroidery for the LAST block on my Kitten's Tale BOM is complete!  It's so long that I can't get up very close to it to get the whole thing in an image.  Here's a closer-up view of the center so that you can see the kittens.

I'm so excited to be finished with the embroidery!  When I started this project, I failed to notice how MUCH embroidery was involved.  When I started working on it and realized how time intensive it was going to be, I had serious doubts about whether I would ever actually finish it.  Yet, here I am!

Now I need to sew the yo-yo's onto the tops of the flower stems, and then I can start sewing the blocks together.  It has two borders, a narrow inner border from one fabric, and a scrappy outer border.  I'll need to make the outer border.  Then it'll be just quilting and binding to finish it off.  I plan to free motion quilt it on my domestic sewing machine.

I've been working on this project for about a year and a half, and it's very exhilarating to be so close to completing it.

Good things come to those who wait (or in your case persevere). Congrats on getting one part of the project done.
