Noted! A Sweet Surprise in the Mail

This past weekend, I received a sweet surprise in the mail from my friend, Lisa, in California.  Lisa sent some cards she made with pictures from my camera.  She told me she had printed these out for a church retreat, and that she thought I should have the cards since I took the pictures.  Works for me!

Lisa has sent me cards before, and she's really taken her card-making up a notch with the addition of pretty papers and sweet embellishments.

This is an image from our visit to their place in Idyllwilde, California, this past January.  Lisa and I have been friends since the 7th grade (back in the 14th Century).

This morning I'm making lemon sorbet with some fresh-squeezed Meyer lemon juice she gave me while we were visiting.  It's been sitting in my freezer all this time since our weather has hardly been warm enough to warrant lemonade.  With the arrival of summer, lemon sorbet sounds really good right now!

Isn’t it lovely to have know someone for these decades; I have a friend I have known since 7th grade too and we seldom “see” one another but the bond is strong and the love eternal. (Deb I-P, I speak of you!)

My best friend and I met at her birthday party. We've been best friends since, and that was March 1977. We live 1200 miles away from each other. I see her ever time I go home to visit my mother. Our bond will never be broken.

Beautiful cards!

I still have my BFF from the 4th grade - even though she lives in Missouri now & I'm still in CA. And many of my friends have been my "framily" since the early 1970s as well. Long time friends are the best! :D
