June UFO Complete

The June commitment for my 2011 UFO Challenge is complete!  I completed the holly berry stitchery this afternoon:

Last week I completed the six-inch Double X and Maple stars.

I'm right on track with the stars and I'm a month ahead on the stitcheries.  That's a good thing because I haven't yet started the largest of the stitcheries.  It will probably take me two months to complete.

Having a week left in the month of June will give me a chance to complete the remaining stitcheries for my Kitten's Tale BOM and then I can start sewing the blocks together.  There is still the little matter of the 48 yo-yo's, however.  I had in mind today to make myself a little yo-yo kit to put in my purse.  If I take them with me when I go places, I can work on them little by little.  I'm not looking forward to those.

Congrats on another UFO down! I'm behind and not even sure which one was picked this month.

Good job! I'm glad someone is getting stuff done!!!
I've been on kitty-sitting duty for a while, and not getting much of anything done.
Thurs. night I will be staying with Poor Possum the Broken-Legged cat. Hopefully she will get her cast off in another week or so. Her 'parents' a bit, um, overzealous...she hasn't been alone more than 20 minutes since it happened! But that's another whole story!!!

I made a dozen yo-yo's the night I learned how to make them at quilt guild (not a class, just something I took with me and a friend showed me how to use the little yo-yo maker before guild started). Watch a couple of movies while making them and you'll be done in no time.

Lucky you to get another UFO finished! I was going to work on mine this morning but I couldn't figure out why the border (made months ago) didn't fit the middle - woops, still need to make the coping strip. Maybe this weekend...
