Design Wall Monday--April 4, 2011

I don't have anything on my design wall I haven't shown you before.  I'm still working on the quilting for my "Ribbit, Ribbit" quilt.  I've done all the stitch in the ditch I want to do.  Next I'm going to tackle the free motion quilting.  There's a reason I'm putting it off.  Today, though, I plan to start the pebbling around the frogs, at the very least.

And here's the pieced back I made for it.

I'm going to use the blue to bind it when it's all finished.  I'm hoping to have it finished for my design wall next week.  I'm ready to work on something else, but I want to finish this first since my sewing machine is all set up for quilting.  By the way, I spray basted this 55 x 55 quilt, and even with all the pushing and pulling and yanking it through the throat of my domestic sewing machine, it continues to hold fast.  I'm very impressed by that.  I didn't believe it would work.

I love the frogs, and the pieced back is great.

I really like the pieced back too.. I'm thinking I'm going to try one.. however knowing me.. it will get TOO planned, and end up looking like another quilt front.

Darling quilt. I have never tried spray basting but it sounds like I should.

I am interested in the brand of this “spray magic” that eliminates the need for pinning !~!
