Good Advice
Photographers, this is for you: I just read a kind of Top Ten Tips for photographers. Since we're just getting ready to take off on a trip, I was especially interested in this. I thought you might be too. I like most of them, although getting the flash off my camera means a large expenditure. I'm not sure whether I'd rather spend my money on fabric or photography. And shooting in RAW? I'm sorry, I still just don't get how it improves my life. Many people have tried to explain this to me, but I'm still not convinced it makes a big difference--at least in my way of taking pictures. Still, the other ones, including the "take more pictures" tip, are useful. See what you think.

Interesting list. I took a beginning digital camera class after I got my DSLR. The instructor touched lightly on shooting in RAW - what I recall is that it makes for huge files & he wasn't very impressed with it all.
Both my point & shoot & the DSLR have built-in flashes (the big camera's is a pop-up one), so I don't know about shooting with a flash off the camera. I have been practicing some with non-program shooting, a little anyway.
I do like the shoot more pictures one too! lol
