Design Wall Monday--January 4, 2011

I didn't do a lot this week.  I spent most of my time playing with my new toys from Santa.  But I did manage to finish another block from one of my BOM's.  This one is from A Kitten's Tale:

The block is called "Kitten in theTree."  I still have one more to do to catch up on this one.  Here's what I have so far:

And here's what the whole quilt will look like when it's finished.  I've learned a lot on this one.  I hadn't done yo-yos before this.

And, as you can see, there are a lot of yo-yos on this quilt.  I just wish the quilt shop would send me the blocks a little more regularly.  Recently, they sent me just fabric, and no pattern.  That wasn't much help, I'll tell you.  When I called them, they said they'd cut the fabric, but they didn't have the pattern yet.  I wasn't supposed to have received the fabric.  Somehow, that wasn't very reassuring.  That was several weeks ago, and I still don't have the pattern.

That was all I'd done until today, I got fired up and made this sleeve for my new iPad.  The pattern came from a recent issue of Quilter's World magazine:

Cute, huh?  Here's another shot:

So for a while at least, I won't be posting much except for my UFO Challenge quilt, Winter Wonderland.  And if I don't have internet access, I won't post anything at all.  I'll keep up as much as possible, but if you don't see or hear from me for a while, it's because I'm out of range.

I'm looking forward to our trip, but I'll miss being around weekly.  Still, I hope you'll follow along because I'll have lots to tell when I can find internet access.  I'll be writing my posts regularly, even if they don't show up regularly.  And when they do, there will be several at a time.  So I hope you'll all keep busy.  Keep quilting.  I'll see you when I see you.

Rabid Quilter--Here is one of the shops that is doing A Kitten's Tale next year. It's a BOM. I don't know if you can buy it as a kit. I can't recommend the shop I've been working with, so I won't mention it. You can get all the info you need here:
