Holiday Giving

I like to give gifts of food for Christmas.  I find inexpensive holiday plates, baskets, or tins at Goodwill (depending on what is appropriate for the gift).  It dresses them up and makes them look pretty.  I've also found lots of food-appropriate wrappings at The Container Store.  Whatever gift of food you're making, you'll find something there that will hold it perfectly.

One of my favorite kitchen gifts is a recipe I found in the November/December 2008 issue of Martha Stewart Living.  Click on this link to find a recipe for delicious Winter Bark.  It's a recipe that takes so little time, and is so simple to make.  It has just three ingredients!

Even if you're not a cook, this is an easy recipe.  And, bonus!  It looks pretty when you wrap it up in a decorative tin with some tissue paper.  It's always a crowd pleaser, even if your crowd consists of only one special person.

For more ideas, check out Judy L.'s Patchwork Times.  Better yet, post your own!
