This image was taken in a neighborhood near me. These trees are planted every 20 feet or so along the main road. When they all turn this color, oh my. It is stunning to see. I didn't notice the red berries until I got out of the car to take a picture. That's one of the things I love about photography. It opens one's eyes to things one might have missed had it not been for the camera.
It reminds me of when I walked through a mall with my son, Erik, who was about 2 1/2 at the time. He was quite taken with some ornamental plants that were growing inside the mall, and he kept wanting to show them to me. I was in a hurry, and trying to hurry him along. If you've ever tried to hurry a 2-year-old, then you know that it is impossible. But it was a great lesson. The lesson? Pay attention!
