Hey there! Good morning and thanks for stopping by! Thanks to Amy's Creative Side for hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival. Today I'm here to show off my "Psycatdelic" quilt from the Folk Art Cats pattern, designed by John Simpkins.
Sorry that picture is a little wonky. Blame my crazy family members who were holding it up when I finished it at a family weekend get together in March.
I started working on this quilt on October 27, 2012, and finished it up on March 20, 2015, and that made it my oldest UFO to that point. It was fantastic to take the last stitch in the binding, let me tell you.
All those bright colors made it a fun quilt to work on. Despite having it take so long, I was sad to finish up the last block and have the whole crazy cat experience come to an end. Here are some close-up images of the individual blocks.

I think of all the blocks, this next one is my favorite. It puts out such joyful energy.
This is another one of my favorites. I just like the colors.
Finally, this is the label I made for my quilt:
This is my 10th time participating in the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I started blogging in July of 2010 and started participating in the quilt festival in the Fall of 2010. You can see my previous entries into the Blogger's Quilt Festival right here:
For this Spring, 2015 Festival, I entered two quilts. You can see my other quilt, "Colorful Colorado," right here.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the rest of the show. Now head on back to the festival and give my fellow participants some quilty love.

I love those cats! Especially the one that is your favorite and the kitty on the fence in the night. The mouse constellation! ;)
What a fantastic quilt.... love all those kitties!!!
One my favorites from your portfolio of projects.
Hi Barbara! I love your cat quilt! It's so beautiful and fun! I'm can imagine how much you enjoyed making it! x Teje
One of my favorites of your quilts! Today my favorite block in the quilt is the polka dot cat with the bird on its back. :D
This is great!! I love all those cats! My favorite is the one with the mouse, but I also love the slightly grumpy looking cat who doesn't seem to thrilled to be made to dress up like santa. Super super super!
What an absolutely fun quilt--both fun cats and a great opportunity to use a bunch of fun fabrics! It turned out fantastic!
Wow!! Great work!! I really like the cat with the mouse. Poor mouse *lol*.
Greetings from Germany. Love. Mrs Patch.
What a quilt! So full of energy and joy! I love the pirate. :-)
Kitties!!!! I'm glad you shared the individual block pics-- it is fun to see some of the cool quilting details (like the constellations! So fun!). This is such a happy quilt. :)
Amazing quilt!!!
I so enjoyed reading about this quilt as you made the blocks, Barbara. I voted for it.
This is such a great quilt! It is very inspiring because I think it would be such a joy to live with! Thanks for the up close pictures of the blocks. The quilt has so much movement, color, and humor - I just love it!
