Today's optional theme for Foto Finish is "Growing". Here's my entry:
We visited a local winery a few weeks ago to pick up a wine shipment. I love visiting the wine tasting rooms because they are usually such beautiful buildings and almost always beautifully landscaped. It was wonderful to see so many daffodil shoots breaking the surface, especially since ours had not yet done so. We'll have to go back in a few weeks and see the daffodils! It's a good time of year. I'm ready to see the blooming trees.
For next week's optional theme, I'm thinking: "Words". Don't ask why. Maybe because I'm getting ready to start a new quilt this month and I'm supposed to have some fabric with words. But don't limit yourself to fabric. Find some words and get wordy.
Now I'm ready to see your "Growing" images. By the way, I know sometimes the link-up isn't working properly. I'm not sure what goes haywire. I leave such weighty issues to people smarter than I. Not to worry. If you're having trouble (and this especially seems to happen with FlickR URL's), just send me the jpeg image, and I'll link it for you. I have an "In" with Mr. Linky, and he lets me in the back door. (We have a special relationship.)

Spring flowers are probably my most favorite subject to photograph. Looks like spring is not far off where you live. No daffodils here, yet anyway.
That is going to be a beautiful Daffodil bed in another week or so! It will be worth the trip back to visit it...and the wine tasting room too...since you did drive all that way....lol Our Spring is rapidly arriving here in Texas. It still seems awful early, as we could still get that last freeze in the next few weeks. But Mother Nature seems to think it's time, so we are watching so many trees put on their Spring finery! It's not official for me until I see my first Bluebonnet of the season! I am looking, but nothing yet! We had some nice winter rain, so we should have a bumper crop this year! God knows I am ready for Spring this year....I just hope it lasts a bit before we move directly into another blazingly HOT summer like last year! So, I will relish the day! Thanks for the picture of promise...daffodils to be! Please do post the photo of the bed if you are able to return to see it in full bloom!
Aloha,
Andrea
How pretty they will be when they all bloom!!! I adore daffodils! :)
My daffodils are struggling to stick their little green leaves up...they are only up about four inches now. (I think it's my fault....I probably didn't put them in very good soil! LOL) Love your photo, as always!
I wish I had that many in my flower bed! But they, and the hyacinths, are up. The ones down the block are blooming like crazy, but mine are slow. It's their first year.
Reminds me of a winery I like to visit not too far from here. There's daffodils everywhere in the spring when we visit.
Those are going to be so pretty when they bloom!! I do hope that you go back and visit so that we can see them in all their glory.
I know that I've been away, but I'm finally able to participate again this week. Hope you like!!
