This week's Foto Finish theme is Colorful
Here's my entry:
Okay, so it's not terribly colorful, but it's interestingly colorful. It's a macro image of the frosty glass tabletop on our patio . . . macro and with a starburst filter. I amped up the saturation a little to bring out the reds, greens, and blues. I love that macro photography can help you to see things you wouldn't otherwise see.
Now hear this: Do I have your attention? I've decided to do away with the themes for Foto Finish. For one thing, I have a hard time thinking of themes that are interesting and easy. My lack of imagination is the biggest reason for doing away with themes. Secondly, however, I'm hoping there will be more participation if every week is "photographer's choice." I love seeing your images, no matter what the theme, and so I'm leaving it up to you to post whatever you like. Show us something you did during the week. Show us something you did a long time ago. Whatever you like, just show us! And, it's always fun to hear the story behind the image.
So with that, I'm saying knock yourself out and post whatever you like. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next week, and every week forever and ever. Amen.
Now I'm ready for your "colorful" images. Here's Mr. Linky:

Wow! What a picture! I'm so glad you told us what the photo was. I never would have guessed. And those little stars are very cute.
Great photo!! I know what you mean about picking topics, I used to do a Photo a Day with a monthly theme with a friend and after 2 years we ran out of topics!!!
Hi! Greetings from Finland! Your quilts are so fantastic! It's so nice to find other quilters all around the world! www.quiltworld2.blogspot.com
Yours, Ulla
Love the photo! I would have never guessed either. I thought bubbles maybe? It looks more like a microscopic view of some type of cell structure. Very cool.
I have to admit that I like the themes, it makes me think outside the box and find images I would never consider posting otherwise. I understand that it gets hard to think up topics. Have you considered having an on-line brainstorming session, let those of us that participate generate a list of topics that you could pull from during the year? Or maybe use dictionary.com and let the word of the day, hot words, or the quote be the inspiration for potential themes.
Any type of weekly blog with Mr. Linky takes extra effort, so I can see why you would choose not to continue the theme. I will participate anyway you decide to do it.
Love your image Barbara. Wishing you all the best for the festive season. We are in for a stunning day today around 24 degrees C which is just perfect.
