Not exact, but close enough!

I've been housesitting since Friday - no computer! I could bring my laptop, but since their WiFi has the same name as mine, I have to log in there, then back in again at home & Barry's passcode is a PAIN! lol
So, no computer, no sewing machine - but I had my Kindle AND real TV! I took our SUV to the local Ford dealership for an annual inspection. The man told me he couldn't do it today because he would slide when he tested the brakes!!!! Slide where??!!! The roads were completely dry! Even though I was extremely frustrated, I had to laugh! All that snow! We're melting over here in South Australia (although its not as hot as it has been but I'm completely over summer I'm afraid!) 42 degrees celcius here tomorrow and not a lot better next week. Dread to think what my electricity bill is going to be like next time. I can't remember a time when we've had the airconditioner running for such long stretches. Yes, it was cold enough here that I had to bring the hummingbird feeder inside several times to thaw it quickly and get it back outside for the little guys who were flying around chirping madly. Also been quite a chore to keep the stray kitty's water bowl thawed and ready. But happily there's only about 2 inches up on our hill at the moment. It actually warmed up here for a few days, and is cooling down again. That pie sounds good to me. I am a big fan of peanut butter. I hope you got to enjoy some relaxing sewing today. I suppose that is better than when we had single digits recently. It was hard trying to convince the outdoor cats to stay indoors, but I managed it. The thing that is about to get the best of me now is the gray, gloomy sky. All I want to do is snuggle under a quilt with my tablet and read a book or browse Pinterest. But on the bright side, I do have a lot of new quilt patterns that I want to try now!Bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06136264132659958527noreply@blogger.com
