I was crocheting last night and one grabbed it. Trying to get that claw out without damaging my afghan was almost impossible. Cross stitching and embroidery..the same thing. What is the fascination with thread and yarn? Toys-not interested even if it has catnip in it. The boys love the catmint I grow but it's not available. Yesterday one jumped up to catch the "shadow" of a bird taking off and took half the mini blind with him. If I lived in the country I wouldn't have blinds but we have too much foot traffic in front of our house. I'm beyond myself with their shenanigans. I'm smack dab in the Midwest and what a wicked winter. Snow, rain, ice, the vortex. The snow is beautiful to look at but I'm the only one who shovels and my back is enjoying the break. We had a slight heatwave in the 40's so a lot of snow melted & it's a good thing because I was running out of places to put it. I'm jealous of those women who get so excited & happy because they're going to have a snow day where they just sit on their tush's stitching or sewing or quilting all day. Well, if they had to shovel the crap all the time they would know just how much I'd like to smack them. Just don't throw it in my face is all. I personally have more time to craft when it doesn't snow. I would get a snow blower but I hate pulling the cord on my "key start" mower so I can just imagine another cord to pull in the dead of winter. The key start only worked for about 4 years and quit. No wonder Sears cancelled the in home warranty and refunded part of my money. They knew what was coming. Enjoy the view and stay warm and dry. Hopefully you won't have to shovel. As you have your new road I hope means that is plowed by the government, does that mean you plow your private drive and have a decent drive down the hill? We are raining off and on this weekend. A dry spell will follow then the "Pineapple Express" hits next week. By satellite view it appears to be a huge beast that will encompass San Diego to Crescent City. The Camille Camera bag is done with plenty of time to spare for hubby’s birthday. Stella did watch over the project while it rained. Staying warm and dry is preferred to our "cold" and rainy 40-50* weather we are having.
