Does it make a difference, I have no idea, but he thinks it does. It rose too much and you can't see my pretty braids, but I hope it will taste good. I go on and off with it, but the book really looks good and I'm so tempted to join you in baking your way through it. I prefer King Arthur flour; it produces a much nicer loaf of bread and I think it's actually easier to work with than other flours. Give it a try! Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I would have polished off that loaf in one day. Are you going to be baking the different types of bread from beginning of the book to end or skip around? I found an article on growing barley grass for chickens, geese. goats, rabbits, etc. So of course I had to try it! after seven days of hovering over plastic storage bins with barley seed in them I had success with my grass! Now my smaller outside critters have their own Thanksgiving dinner.<br />Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. The "crumb" was dense and the entire loaf heavy. I use the red star yeast too. Your latest venture looks wonderful. I forget how much, but under $3 for I think the 5-lb bag. I should have paid closer attention, but was only there for a few specific items, and flour wasn't one of them since I do so little baking at present. BTW, I always did use the King Arthur and thought it make a difference, but it could have just been that I liked the bag design better. :)gpchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18054854655973836794noreply@blogger.com
