I'm looking forward to many new tales of Smitty & Sadie. :) And as for her tail...well I think if you add hers & Smitty's together, divide by 2, you'll have average tail lengths!! lolquiltzyxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08847188443140845514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5045426307379086704.post-2233117122940638552016-06-17T06:33:25.378-07:002016-06-17T06:33:25.378-07:00Sadie seems to like her new home. I'd be surprised if she's much past 8/9 months which could be why she's not phased by Smitty. She's at the leggy teenager stage and if she was begotten by a street Tom, Smitty is no real threat at all. He's too cool to be a thug! <br />I've had a couple of rescues with tissue scarring within the tail after an injury. One had hurled itself through a transom window and the window banged shut onto the tail. It hung trailing down, effectively having been broken, so Vet had to remove the damaged end. That hardness is the stump and does feel hard. If it happens in the wild, a clean cut that heals itself may have an even thicker stump. liniecathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15643986273499722414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5045426307379086704.post-60870091624554982062016-06-16T08:07:56.110-07:002016-06-16T08:07:56.110-07:00Sadie looks like my Sassy except for the tail. A huge undertaking but to celebrate such a successful and fulfilling career what more you could you ask for - your friend is very lucky to have such a quilter friend on hand!! It made me think about the other significant retirement you have coming up and whether a celebratory quilt for the man of many hats was in the offing.
