Occupy your Sewing Room!

Looking to link up?  Click here!

Here's a blogging event for our times!

1.  Occupy your Sewing Room will run from December 3 - 10, 2011. During that week, plan to occupy your sewing room for a full day. If you can't spend a whole day, then divide it up into whatever increments you like.

2.  Write a blog post and then come back on December 11th to link up and show off what you've accomplished. This is a chance for you to finish up those Christmas gifts you haven't had time for, but you can work on whatever you like.  And if you don't have a blog, feel free to post an image from Flickr, Shutterfly, or any other photo sharing service that allows you to generate a URL.  Just be sure I have a way to contact you or you won't be able to win in the giveaway.  No-reply bloggers, that goes for you too!

3.  On December 17th, I'll host a giveaway.  First prize will be this Moda Fig Tree Strawberry Fields jelly roll.  Also, Marcia's Crafty Sewing & Quilting Blog is offering $30 off on quilting a lap-size or larger quilt.  Details of this offer here.

Second prize will be this Moda Little Apples charm pack.

Third prize will be this Quilting Block & Pattern A Day 2012 Calendar.

A fourth winner will win the two-DVD set of the documentary Why Quilts Matter.

4.  PR angels who help spread the word by whatever method will be given one extra chance to win. Just leave a comment at the end of this post and let me know how you've done it. You can post the Occupy your Sewing Room button on your blog, share on Facebook or Twitter, or just write a blog post about it.

I have google chrome and it seems their options change almost on every update. I couldn't copy and paste the code for this button by the normal way of selecting the code, and then rt. clicking to copy. Finally I found that under the tools icon, it say's edit, and there is a copy option there.
Happily I can now say that i have the button on my left side bar of my blog. : )

Dana Gaffney said...

What a great idea Barbara. I've blogged about it and have your bling on my blog. Thanks so much to Rhonda G for figuring out how to get the button.

I tried to get your button too and I can't - It says: function is disabled by Cat Patches. I google chrome but I can do it on other blogs. I can't grab the code. I also tried to save the image and I can't do that either.
I would like to participate and add you button to my blog.
I am also interested in adding a prize to your list of "20% off the Quilting on any size quilt" and I will save a December date for the winner to have it quilted and back before Christmas in the US only. Let me know if you would be interested?
Thanks! You have a great idea! I love it!

It's a good news/bad news situation for me. I was recently "rolled off" a contract engagement early ... while I look for a new job, I am also going to commit to keep sane and centered by spending part of next week occupying my sewing room
