BOMS Away

Today I did a little bit of sewing.  I completed the top-stitching and the embellishing for the November Folk Art Cats block.

His halo is stitched from metallic thread as is the ring on the finger of the pointing hand.  I used hot fix nailheads for the cat's eyes and for the button on the cuff, and hot fix crystals for the mouses eyes.  I still need to finish the checkerboard border around the block that includes pieced cornerstones, and then this one will be finished.

Oh these are just the cutest blocks! Isn't it amazing how the stitching and embellishment make so much difference? It really defines it and gives it so much character - great job as always!

Super job, you have really made a cute block here, Barbara; his eyes sparkle and his halo glimmers. Who could ask for anything more ~!?

Another adorable cat block. Reminds me of how my cat sits looking pleased with himself when he brings me a mouse present.
