It was so much fun reading about all of your stargazing experiences last week! Thanks to all who shared. The winner of last week's FFFF is:
#17--Denise!
Congratulations, Denise! I've contacted you via separate email, so check your inbox.
With St. Patrick's Day dead ahead, I couldn't resist asking a St. Patrick's Day question for this week's Fun Fact Friday Freebie. I've been gnashing my teeth trying to come up with something, and finally decided on a green question. (Always trying to be eco-friendly, you know.) Aren't these shoes great? They're just the ticket for every Irish or wanna-be Irish person. My grandmother's family was Irish, and so I just happen to be an honest-to-goodness Irish person. So here's what I want to know:
How will you get your green on for St. Patrick's Day?
As for me, I'll be stylin' in my St. Patrick's Day socks. I'll just bet you're green with envy!
As always, you must leave a comment with your response to the FFFF question of the day to be eligible to win a fat quarter. Followers can leave an additional comment for an additional chance to win. And if you have my FFFF button posted on your blog, please leave an additional comment for a third chance to win. Winner will be announced next week.

64 of my favorite readers had this to say:
I'll be wearing a green t-shirt. ...nothing too exciting.
We really don't do much of anything for St. Patrick's day. I may wear a green t-shirt if we go anywhere, otherwise, I won't really pay attention to it.
Hi Barbara, as I live in Ireland we will be wearing as much green as possible from shamrock on our coats, face painted, hair sprayed or a wig, big leprechaun hats, Irish flags, green sunglasses, teeshirts and jerseys, socks, basically anything we can find so that we can take part in the local parade or even watch it. We will also then be drowning the shamrock (having a drink). Happy St Paddy's day everyone
I maked corned beef sandwiches for my sons and husband and I always forget to wear green - but my name is Colleen so I figure that is Irish enough! (even though I am not a bit Irish - I am Scandinavian! )
I have St Patty's Day socks too - and a green sweatshirt to match. I'm at least an eight Irish (more than anything else), so like to claim the holiday too.
I'll just be green with envy over those socks!!!
I have on green undies, green striped socks with shamrocks, green bra, green shirt. Just finished my green key lime yogurt. Will be having green salad for lunch and broccoli soup for dinner.
I usually try to find something small & inconspicuous...I love my kids think they've gotten me...and I can show them some small bit of the green.
I have this completely tacky "kiss me I'm Irish" shirt this year - gold lame lettering and all. It's a little snug because it has to fit over my big ol' baby belly, but it's green!
And I'm a follower!
I'm not big on celebrating St. Patrick's Day so wearing something green and eating some mint chocolate chip ice cream is about all I will do. Thanks for the chance.

As I'm half Irish, I have plenty of green adornments to lavish on my body. Shirts, socks, undies and an assortment of weird pins and such to tack on.

I'll be playing with green fabric! Thanks for a chance.
I be wearin a bright green tshirt and gren earrings. I've got a we bit of irish in me too.
Those socks are *smokin'* as the green guy in Mask would say! :*) Since green is not a good color on my usually, I always wear a shamrock pin on whatever I am wearing that day. I need to get a pair of socks!!!

And I love your cat button!!!
Tricky one this as England take on Ireland in the six nations on St Patrick's day! Normally I support Ireland but not when they're playing us!! Bring it on - I can't wait!
I'm a happy follower!
Whoohoo!!! Thank you, Barbara! As for my Irish, I'll have a green shirt and socks on today *and* tomorrow (different ones each day, of course) and probably some green jewelry, too!! :)
And I'm a follower! :)
AND I have you FFFF button on my blog! :)
AND I have you FFFF button on my blog! :)
Hmmmm...green.....green....green....ummmmm...oh, I know! I'll cut the grass! We, too, have had a little rain (and I mean a little!), but the grass has greened up and now it needs a cut! We've had drought for so long, we were beginning to wonder if we'd ever get wet again, but there it was, in all God's glory!! After the grass gets cut, I think I'll see about finding some green fabric to play with. (love your sox, btw!)
Of course I follow you - who wouldn't want to??
With an Irish husband I will, of course, be doing my bit for St Patrick's Day. So we are having Irish Stew for dinner, with some soda bread. As for the green I will carry my "Shades of Green" handbag with me everywhere I go!
(blogged at http://celticthistlestitches.blogspot.com/2012/03/circle-of-geese-and-shades-of-green.html)
I'll be quilting - wearing my green socks - on St. Paddy's Day!
I'll be wearing a green tee with a green sweatshirt over it watching a green clad high school baseball team. Then hopefully playing with green fabric with a pair of green socks showing while DH wins some green!
I have a new bright green "jumper" I'll be wearing tomorrow!

I'll just wear a green shirt. I don't have anything special... I love your socks though! Maybe one day I'll find some special St Patty's day item to wear every year. Today is the celebration at school for my kids, so they both wore green shirts and I used face paints and put a 4 leaf clover on my one son's forehead. (His wish) Thanks for a chance to win! :)
I'm a follower of your blog! :)
I think I may celebrate with some green beer :P

I conveniently have my green built in: green eyes!
I have a plastic beer stein on a beaded chain, all in green of course. That is my go-to St. Pat's wear, because I don't have much in the way of green clothes...
Long time follower here too.

I wasn't even thinking about that when I got dressed today, lol. I am wearing a green sweatsuit, as dressed as I will get today;)
Debbie
well other than wanting those shoes and your socks, my sickly green pallor will have to do for tomorrow, as I doubt I will be going anywhere... been home for two days now :(

I have many pairs of St. Patrick's day socks and plenty of t-shirts to choose from. I also have a shamrock necklace. I have a St. Patrick's day hand towel hanging in my bathroom that a wonderful neighbor gave me. I am a complete Irish wannabe and I have no shame in saying it. I will probably spend all day tomorrow listening to Irish music too.
I drunk green tea. I love Ireland and I would like to visit it. hugs
I got your button

When I had my manicure, I asked her to marbelize green, white and silver glitter on thumbs and ring fingers. It's over a opalescent gray and it looks so great - and green!
I wore a green shirt and vest
And I follow by e-mail! Thanks for a chance to win. Love those socks!
